Who is behind Caraplace
I am Manuel Meyer from Gipf-Oberfrick in Aargau, an entrepreneur who has travelled by motorhome for years. Finding a good, dry storage space was an odyssey every time: classifieds, notes at the farm, phone calls. The supply exists, nobody can find it. That is why I built Caraplace.
Caraplace stays free for seekers and providers, with no commission and no subscription. I personally review every provider’s first listing before it goes online so that a real person stands behind every space.

Storage space, parking space or winter storage – what is what?
A storage space – in a hall, barn, garage or under a carport – is where a motorhome, campervan or caravan stands year-round or for a season. An outdoor parking space is the cheaper option, often fenced or camera-monitored. Winter storage is the seasonal rental from about October to April. A motorhome pitch, by contrast, is for overnight stays while travelling – Caraplace is the marketplace for the space at home.
On Caraplace every space comes with structured details: maximum vehicle length, width and height, floor, power, water, disposal, security and access. Searching is free and contact runs directly between you and the provider.
