Caraplace brings campers and space providers together directly – with no commission and no middlemen.

For seekers

  1. Step 1

    Search & filter

    Enter a town or postcode and choose a radius. Filter by space type, vehicle dimensions, power, security and rental model – or browse the map. No account needed, free of charge.

  2. Step 2

    Contact the provider

    Show the phone number or write a message. Your enquiry goes straight to the provider by email – without passing through us.

  3. Step 3

    View & agree

    Visit the space, clarify the details and sign a rental agreement directly with the provider. Caraplace is not a party to the rental.

  1. Step 1

    Create an account

    Email, name, password – done. You confirm your address via a link, so seekers know there’s a real provider behind the listing.

  2. Step 2

    Create your listing

    Five short steps: basic details, space & facilities, location on the map, photos, price & contact. You decide whether your address is shown.

  3. Step 3

    Publish

    Currently free. Listings run for 180 days and can be renewed, paused or deleted with a single click. We briefly review your first listing by hand.

List a space

Renting safely – on both sides

  • Always view the space in person before any money changes hands. No deposits or advance payments to strangers.
  • Put the rental agreement in writing: duration, notice period, price, additional costs (e.g. electricity), access, liability and insurance.
  • Providers marked “Email verified” have confirmed their address. Please report suspicious listings via “Report listing” – we review every report.
  • Caraplace only facilitates the contact and is not a party to any contracts or payments between providers and renters.
  • Clarify insurance: the vehicle stays insured under the owner’s policy (partial casco covers theft, hail, natural hazards); the provider checks their building and liability insurance.
  • Secure winter storage early: covered spaces are allocated by November in many regions.

Who is behind Caraplace

I am Manuel Meyer from Gipf-Oberfrick in Aargau, an entrepreneur who has travelled by motorhome for years. Finding a good, dry storage space was an odyssey every time: classifieds, notes at the farm, phone calls. The supply exists, nobody can find it. That is why I built Caraplace.

Caraplace stays free for seekers and providers, with no commission and no subscription. I personally review every provider’s first listing before it goes online so that a real person stands behind every space.
