be very careful about sleeping in the whole area in a tent: the bears come very close, are not afraid and will take your bag if it has food inside. the guy who runs the coffee is really nice and will offer you to sleep inside. max 2p. refused my tip.

Turkey has no nationwide law on overnighting in a camper, and sleeping inside a closed vehicle in a signposted car park counts as parking. An awning or extended levelling jacks turn it into camping, outside built-up areas parking on the carriageway is prohibited (Highway Traffic Law No. 2918, Art. 59) and Istanbul bans campers outside official caravan parks (circular of 04.09.2025).
