Can I sleep in my motorhome? Rule for NO-03 Allowed
The light applies to car parks and community places. Official stopovers, campsites and farms are always allowed – staying overnight is what they are for.
In Norway the right to roam allows parking in utmark alongside a public road unless prohibited by signs. The vehicle must stay on the shoulder or firm ground, and for overnighting the tenting rules apply with at least 150 metres from inhabited houses and cabins and no more than two nights (friluftsloven §§ 4 and 9).
