Can I sleep in my motorhome? Rule for SE-I Tolerated
The light applies to car parks and community places. Official stopovers, campsites and farms are always allowed – staying overnight is what they are for.
Sweden's right to roam (allemansrätten) does not cover motor vehicles, and a motorhome may neither drive nor be parked on natural ground. Only ordinary parking along a road or in a car park is allowed (terrängkörningslag 1975:1313), generally for a maximum of 24 hours at rest areas and, near dwellings, only with the landowner's permission even for a single night.
