Can I sleep in my motorhome? Rule for Galicia Tolerated
The light applies to car parks and community places. Official aires, campsites and farms are allowed if they take motorhomes – staying overnight is what they are for.
In Spain a motorhome may stop and park wherever any other vehicle may, and sleeping inside still counts as parking. Prohibited camping starts as soon as an awning, chairs or stabilising legs extend beyond the vehicle's outline or waste water is discharged, and municipalities may additionally cap parking times (DGT Instruction PROT 2026/04).
