Can I sleep in my motorhome? Rule for TR-07 Tolerated

The light applies to car parks and community places. Official stopovers, campsites and farms are always allowed – staying overnight is what they are for.

Turkey has no nationwide law on overnighting in a camper, and sleeping inside a closed vehicle in a signposted car park counts as parking. An awning or extended levelling jacks turn it into camping, outside built-up areas parking on the carriageway is prohibited (Highway Traffic Law No. 2918, Art. 59) and Istanbul bans campers outside official caravan parks (circular of 04.09.2025).
