Can I sleep in my motorhome? National rule Cyprus Forbidden
The light applies to car parks and community places. Official stopovers, campsites and farms are always allowed – staying overnight is what they are for.
Free camping is not provided for in Cyprus, and in state forests such as Troodos and Akamas it is allowed only at designated campsites. Without a permit this carries up to one year's imprisonment or a €5,000 fine (Forests Law 25(I)/2012), and on the coast the District Officer can prohibit caravans and tents on certain beaches (Protection of the Beach Law, Cap. 59).
